I was caring for a young adult that had been critically injured. Facility was not PFCC, however, I let pt’s mother/father at bedside due to pt’s precarious situation. Pt passed away. One year later, after the loss of her son, pt’s mother came back to facility to thank me for the care I provided her son, but also for the care and support I provided to herself and her family.
