I remember your laugh

I remember your laugh and radiating smile, the dark of your hair and the warmth of your hugs that always made me feel like everything was going to be OK. You fought long and hard Mom, the Drs. gave you 3 to 6 months when they diagnosed you with cancer. They said you wouldn’t last long, but you did. For 13 years you did until you finally made peace with your fate and forever fell into sleep. Now I see you in my heart and only smile when I miss you and remember the good times. Rest mom, rest. I love you forever…
