PSWs can play a vital role in end of life care for clients. This isn’t black and white, each client, family and PSW can contribute to the specialized individual needs. We need to train and give PSWs the opportunity to be a part of EOL care more then they are now. Sometimes they are just as needed and helpful as the clients own family. They are so important to our clients. I’m grateful to have worked as a PSW and experienced EOL care with a client who was very close to me.
