I have lost 4 family members in less than 10 years – 2 sisters with breast to bone – both in the same month/yr. December is a hard month. 3 deaths not present for due to time & distance and one death – my Dad’s with no pain management. The consequence of a decision to die at home with inadequate support. A horrible way to die. I’ve been blessed to see great palliative care and “good” deaths where I work as I sit with clients & family members at end of life.
