I had the honour and privilege to care for a client and her family through the dying process. She was transferred to hospice as her symptoms increased.
I was recently notified by her daughter she had passed away. At her viewing her daughter said to me she takes solace in knowing her mother lived a well and good life.
I get asked a lot why palliation? I say it is a great honour for a family to allow me to be part of this emotional, personal and spiritual process. Caring for families who would have been strangers but are really my neighbours is a true blessing.
Thank you Heart Hospice for caring for this community!
