When I first began my career as a hospice physician, I worked with the most amazing social worker/ volunteer coordinator. She introduced our agency to therapeutic touch and the healing potential of harp played at the bedside of the dying. She went on to become a naturopathic physician and I went on to teach yoga & meditation at her office. When I left a difficult marriage she welcomed me with open arms to stay with her and her husband. She died Dec 1, 2015 of breast cancer. I was honoured to be at her bedside. I miss her every day but I feel her with me.
