A little bird sat on my kitchen ledge

All my life, I was so close to both my mom’s dad and my dad’s mom. They both left too young. A grandparent from both sides of me! (My heart) when grandma died. I had just seen her a couple of days before at the retirement home she just moved to.  That morning before I got the call I had one of my funny feelings and a little bird sat on my kitchen window ledge, how sweet I thought. I got the call an hour later. I know that bird was her! Fast forward a few years later and my grandfather passed on from a post op infection. Had the heart of a 30 year old was what the Dr. said. Both unexpected, to me, even as a nurse, dying in your 70’s is too young.

Loved and missed forever
