It is out of kindness

The difference between the French in Paris and people in LA California is that the latter are raised to be optimistic and friendly. In Paris people deem it necessary to be melancholy and celebrate suffering, so if they are rude to you it is out of kindness, to make you transcend your reality. Buddha said that your irritating friends are your Gurus, like a tot’s training wheels on their bike. In any event, Parisians think Americans are ignorant.
