I flew back and forth every month

I remember asking you to move to my home so I could take care of you. You did not wish to, so I flew back and forth every month to be with you. I flew back for your 50th birthday and left New Year’s Day. You died 5 days later. I flew back to take care of all the arrangements. I am sorry I was not there to hold your hand when you took your last breaths Know that I love you always. I’m sorry it took me 3 years to put up a headstone, but I wanted a beautiful black marble stone to commemorate your life and it took time to pay for everything else involved with your dying. Know that I did this out of respect.

I love you Dad!
